I started my career as a product designer in 2005 in Greece were, at the time, the profession was virtually unknown. As one of the first graduates with such a degree, I had to promote the profession as a whole, to employers/clients who were used to hiring mechanical engineers for this work.

This turned out to be advantageous, as I have a second degree in engineering design and a natural curiosity and aptitude in engineering. Either because of the market or intentionally, I started working for consultancies and startups where I got the chance to do “a bit of everything”. for the first 11 years of my career, I was also designing as a side activity, effectively working 2 shifts. I occasionally got involved in product and architectural visualisation and also gained practical factory floor experience, operating manufacturing equipment like CNC mills, lathes, punching machines and others.
