Electronic Enclosures

This started as a paid project for an OEM wall
mounted enclosure with the following
features:

• Accommodate touch screen up to 4”.
• Vertically mounted with ventilation.
• Be easy to assemble and install.
• Splash proof design (front only).

Concept Design

Upon delivering the concepts I continued the work as a personal project. Designing a control panel for home lighting systems which are an upcoming trend in home automation.

Engineering and CAD

All the injection moulded parts of the product can be produced from simple split tools. The enclosure has vents at the back to archive some IP rating. The PCB design is for illustration purposes, however it has real components and realistic layout. The power supply ,control MCU and  signal circuitry spaced apart to avoid interference. Touch panel and LCD are modeled from existing components.
